Hiring: HSE Specialist Company: NOV Location: Youngstown, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:43:59 Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Root Cause Analysis About the job Required Skills: •Serve as the primary HSE resource for facility leadership, providing guidance and support on health, safety, and environmental matters. •Develop, implement, and maintain practical HSE processes, programs, and initiatives that reduce operational risk. •Support implementation and continuous improvement of the EPS Global HSE Management System. •Monitor HSE performance metrics and recommend corrective actions and improvement opportunities. •Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910 requirements. •Assist in developing and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and safe systems of work. •Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. •Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs to employees and leadership teams. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related technical field strongly desired. •Minimum three (3) years of HSE experience. •Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations. •Solid functional working knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems. •Must be willing to travel between Youngstown, OH and Bridgeport, WV. Additional travel may be required at times to attend trainings, meetings, and support business needs. •Strong hazard identification, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. •Strong communication, training, and collaboration skills. •Demonstrated capacity to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and work with minimal supervision. •Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
