Required Skills: •Performs a variety of technical tasks to prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by a Pathologist to include grossing and frozen sections pursuant to established, approved protocols which require limited independent judgment and review. •Prepares (grosses) tissue specimens for processing including fixation, dehydration, clearing, and embedding in paraffin wax. •Operates tissue processors and embedding centers. •Utilizes a microtome to cut thin sections of tissue from paraffin blocks in alignment with quality requirements, and mounts onto slides accordingly. 4. Prepare slides for staining and performs routine staining, both through automation or manual processes. •Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed, ensuring traceability and compliance. •Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment. •Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on laboratory equipment and reagents. •Works on mostly routine and transactional assignments, guided by policies, procedures, guidelines and precedent Qualifications: •Associate's Degree required.
