Hiring: Head of Tax Company: UHY-US Location: Houston, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:41:59 Employment Type: Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Financial Planning, Risk Management About the job Required Skills: •Serve as the primary regional point of contact for tax matters across the Americas. •Partner with corporate Finance and Tax leadership to implement tax strategy, policies, and governance frameworks. •Provide analysis and recommendations on regional tax matters, risks, opportunities, and business decisions. •Escalate, document, and monitor material tax issues affecting the region. •Coordinate and oversee international and state and local tax compliance activities across the Americas. •Manage relationships with regional CFOs, local Finance teams, tax professionals, and external advisors. •Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business. •Identify and assess tax risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field. •CPA or other recognized tax professional qualification required. •Ten or more years of corporate tax experience. •Significant international tax experience, including exposure to U.S. and Canadian tax. •Strong experience with tax risk management, tax governance, and multi-jurisdictional tax environments. •Knowledge of U.S. international tax concepts, including FDII, GILTI, and IRC Section 163(j). •Operational familiarity with U.S. State and Local Tax matters. •In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow as they relate to tax. •Solid understanding of financial statements and tax accounting, including IFRS. •Demonstrated capacity to translate complex tax matters into clear financial and business implications for senior leadership.
