Required Skills: •The Hazmat Manager ensures the safe, compliant, and efficient handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials across our 3PL operations. This role is responsible for enforcing regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation, and promoting a strong safety culture across the warehouse and shipping environment. •On-site Country Club Hills, IL •Oversee day-to-day hazmat operations to ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, and OSHA regulations. •Prepare, review, and verify all hazardous materials shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping declarations, and packaging requirements. •Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all regulated materials. •Train warehouse and transportation staff on hazardous materials handling, spill response, and compliance procedures. •Conduct internal audits and inspections of hazmat processes and storage areas; address findings through corrective actions. •Monitor changes in federal, state, and international dangerous goods regulations and implement operational updates as needed. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. •In-depth knowledge of DOT, IATA, IMDG, and OSHA hazmat regulations. •Certified Dangerous Goods professional (preferred but not required). •Strong organizational and documentation skills. •Demonstrated capacity to conduct training and communicate compliance requirements effectively •Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
