Hiring: Group Leader, Analytical Characterization, Biologics Company: Catalent Location: Kansas City, MO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:32:21 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management About the job Required Skills: •Shift: Monday – Friday, 1st shift 8-4:30 pm •Plan, prioritize, organize, and execute analytical work in the laboratory according to client contracts and technical agreements. •Ensure cGMP practices are implemented and followed by the team and self. •Adopt safe working practices in the laboratory and comply with in-house SOPs and safety legislation. •Establish and maintain technical communications with other groups and clients as needed. •Carry out performance reviews and HR activities such as time entry approval, PTO approval, and salary adjustments in line with company policy. •Maintain team engagement and foster a learning and growth culture. •Advocate and model Catalent’s culture of quality, safety, and ethics. Qualifications: •Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience. •Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift, pull or push 0-40 pounds. •Knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in disciplines such as Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry, with broad knowledge of related areas. •Able to lead difficult discussions with customers and drive them to an acceptable resolution. •Well organized with ability to multitask and complete multiple tasks efficiently within given timeframes. Coaching skills to train junior scientists. •Good project management skills for multiple concurrent projects of moderate to high complexity. •High personal credibility with peers and subordinates.
