Location: Yuma, AZ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:34:06 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Artillery About the job Required Skills: •Provide on‑site technical assistance for operation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of combat vehicle automotive and turret systems, including powertrain, driveline, suspension, hydraulic, electrical/electronic, fire‑control, and weapon‑control components. •Serve as the primary field point‑of‑contact for soldiers, maintainers, customer representatives, and program stakeholders. •Conduct fault isolation and root‑cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire‑control issues, coordinating corrective actions with engineering and logistics teams. •Perform configuration checks, system inspections, calibration tasks, and functional tests to ensure platform compliance, readiness, and configuration‑control integrity. •Support field installation, upgrades, retrofits, and integration of new automotive or turret subsystems and components. •Document field incidents, maintenance trends, reliability observations, and configuration changes; provide detailed, actionable feedback to engineering, logistics, and sustainment teams. •Deliver hands‑on operator and maintainer training covering vehicle operation, system functionality, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety procedures. •Support field trials, range events, live‑fire activities, demonstrations, and system evaluations in diverse environmental and operational conditions. Qualifications: •Associate or bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Weapons Systems Technology, or equivalent military training. •Professional experience supporting combat vehicles, tactical wheeled vehicles, turrets, artillery systems, or weapon‑station platforms. •Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanical systems, hydraulic subsystems, electrical/electronic architecture, onboard diagnostics, and turret/fire‑control technologies. •Demonstrated capacity to diagnose complex faults using schematics, technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and software‑based troubleshooting systems. •Strong communication, documentation, and customer‑facing skills. •Demonstrated capacity to travel frequently and operate in varied and austere field conditions. •Active or eligible DoD security clearance. •Operational familiarity with Army technical manuals (TMs), sustainment processes, safety procedures, and depot‑level support requirements. •Prior leadership experience supporting field operations, depot maintenance, armament repair, or test events.
