Location: Columbia, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:09:19 About the job Experience: •2+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades Required Skills: •Work involves a variety of the following duties but is not all inclusive: replace broken hardware in a barracks room, working on signage, replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets •Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment •Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate •Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment •Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms •Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties •Perform other related duties as assigned •Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent •Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one •Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check •U.
