Hiring: General Counsel of Twenty-Six Defense Maritime Company: Twenty-Six Defense Maritime Location: De Leon Springs, FL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-17 12:42:25 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Defense Industry, Security Clearance, Segment About the job Experience: •12 years of experience as outside Government Contracts counsel or in-house counsel in the aerospace/defense industry Required Skills: •Integrating and partnering with the business unit leadership team, providing sound legal advice and risk mitigation measures to ensure successful business outcomes. •Reviewing solicitations, strategizing approaches for responding, drafting sections addressing particularly legal topics, such as data rights and licensing, and “red teaming” proposals before submission. •Advising on pursuing or defending bid protests and selecting and managing outside bid protest counsel when needed. •Assisting Contracts personnel with complex or risk-sensitive terms and conditions, such as limiting liability, indemnification and grounds for termination. •Developing and implementing intellectual property protection strategies, including drafting and negotiating relevant agreements. •Strategizing and negotiating teaming relationships. •Strategizing, advising and leading steps to resolve disputes, and selecting and managing outside litigation counsel when needed. •Maintaining currency on U.S. Government Contracting topics such as Government cost accounting, intellectual property, Other Transaction Authority, Foreign Military Sales, bid protest regulations and caselaw, claims regulations and caselaw, and dispute resolution including mediation, arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
