GC AI - California, United States

Hiring: Founding Technical Program Manager Company: GC AI Location: California, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 12:48:15 Target Skills & Keywords : LLM, Linear, Notion, Program Management, SaaS, Slack, Snyk, Vercel About the job Experience: •7+ years of experience shipping complicated software across several teams. Required Skills: •GC AI is hiring its first Technical Program Manager at an important time. Revenue has grown 10x in the past year; we are shipping quickly and taking on more projects than ever. We need a clear way to see what is happening across those projects, make hard choices early, and ship reliably. •This is a build-from-scratch role. You will create the system for moving work from an idea to something customers can use. Everyone should know what is on track, what is at risk, what is likely to ship, and where a decision is needed. Your job is to make delivery clearer and faster—not to add unnecessary process. •Report to engineering leadership and work with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and outside partners. This is not a role where you only update plans and report status. You will improve how the company works, run our most important launches, and build some of the tools and automations yourself. •Learn how work moves from an idea to a customer. Find where it gets stuck, clarify ownership, and help teams close the gaps. •Keep a clear view of all major projects. Help teams set priorities, plan the order of work, and spot conflicts or dependencies early. •Set up and run a simple, useful project and launch reviews. Make sure decisions are made quickly, and automate follow-up when possible. •Lead our most important launches. Raise risks early and help teams make hard choices about scope, quality, timing, and what should happen first. •Improve the Launch Calendar and Calvin. Use agents and automations to collect updates, find risks, build launch briefs, send work for review, and notify the right people when plans change. Qualifications: •You have been the first PM, TPM, chief of staff, engineering operations lead, or similar hire at an early-stage company. •You have worked as an engineer or led work involving infrastructure, platforms, APIs, data systems, or distributed systems. •You have worked with model evaluations, data-quality systems, LLMs, or other parts of building AI products. •You have helped several teams start using the same internal platform, SDK, API, or workflow. •You have worked on enterprise software where launches involved Legal, Security, Compliance, customers, or outside partners. •In your first 90 days, you will understand how work moves through the company, show us where it gets stuck, start a useful rhythm for projects and launch reviews, and automate at least one task that everyone hated doing by hand. •Within a year, leaders can see what is likely to ship and where help is needed. Teams find risks and dependencies earlier, launches no longer surprise Marketing, Legal, or Sales, and the systems you built are widely used because they make work easier and help us ship faster. •Team members in the San Francisco Bay Area and Provo, UT (within 50 miles of the office) work together on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. As we grow, we plan to establish permanent offices in more hub cities, and we will look to our team members to help build that in-person culture. We currently hire across the United States and Canada. Compensation: •$206,910 - $284,000 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
