Hiring: Foreign Materials Systems Manager - (Electronics/Automation Background) Company: ofi Location: Smithville, GA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:46:03 About the job Required Skills: •We are a global leader in food & beverage ingredients. •Change all lamps and Mylar strips, viewers/filters, and other components •Perform camera alignments yearly. •Perform repairs to sorting equipment and assist the maintenance personnel when requested. •Attend industry applicable training as required to remain competent with industry trends and changes. •Lead and oversee the training of operators and maintenance techs. •Oversee the changes to programs as pertaining to new crop or other changes in product at each OPS facility. •Oversee the performance of all other Foreign Material removal equipment for proper operation. Qualifications: •High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. •Five (5) years Systems Managements experience is required. Candidates with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree only require two (2) years of Systems Management experience. •Direct field experience in electronics, automation, and/or control systems may be considered in lieu of education or optical sorting experience. Specialized training can be provided. •Food manufacturing experience is required, Peanut Shelling industry experience is preferred. •Valid driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is required •Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills •Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. •Demonstrated capacity to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions is required. •Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery is required. •Demonstrated capacity to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment is required.
