Required Skills: •Perform thorough fundamental credit analysis, including financial statement analysis, evaluation of financial policy, quality of management, management strategy, competitive position, etc. •Assess broad industry trends such as shifts in competition, regulation, and general market dynamics with a view towards investment implications. •Produce written research to support fundamental and relative value recommendations and effectively communicate with traders and portfolio managers. •Participate in daily, weekly, and quarterly research meetings, as well as an array of other meetings relevant to the investment process. •Interface directly with portfolio managers and other research analysts on ad hoc projects as appropriate. •Represent Allspring Global Investment’s research capabilities at client and/or consultant meetings. •Attend company and industry presentations; liaise with sell-side contacts and build relationships with other market participants such as rating agency analysts. Qualifications: •The candidate must be degree qualified. •Strong analytical skills, particularly in performing financial statement analysis and assessing industry trends. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic format, as well as written material. •Demonstrated capacity to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. •Demonstrated capacity to work at a computer and use standard business software for extended periods during the workday. •Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and business partners in person and electronically as needed. •Engage in regular in-person interaction and collaboration with team members and other stakeholders. •Work effectively in a professional office environment with ongoing collaboration, activity, and shifting priorities. •Maintain productivity and focus while balancing multiple tasks and interruptions common in an in-person business setting.
