Hiring: Firmwide Resource Manager Company: MMB+CO Location: Rochester, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:35:15 Target Skills & Keywords : Business Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Project Management, Six Sigma About the job Required Skills: •MMB+CO is seeking a Firmwide Resource Manager to join our Fairport office. •This individual works closely with Tax and Assurance Department leadership, partners, managers, and other designated operational personnel across all Firm offices. •Serve as the firm's primary resource planning professional, overseeing workforce deployment, capacity management, and scheduling strategy across Tax and Assurance service lines and all office locations. •Analyze staffing demands, engagement requirements, utilization trends, and capacity constraints to develop resource allocation strategies and recommendations for firm leadership. •Lead firmwide resource planning efforts by balancing workloads, optimizing utilization, and recommending staffing solutions that support business objectives, client commitments, and employee development. •Evaluate competing staffing priorities, resource requests, and scheduling conflicts, exercising independent judgment and escalating matters requiring leadership decisions. •Monitor project schedules, workload demands, staffing commitments, and workforce capacity, proactively identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities for improved resource deployment. •Partner with Tax and Assurance leadership to assess workforce needs and provide recommendations regarding staffing requirements, utilization improvements, cross-training opportunities, hiring needs, and resource deployment strategies. Qualifications: •Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. •A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in resource management, workforce planning, project scheduling, practice operations, professional services operations, capacity planning, or a related field. •Demonstrated experience analyzing workload, capacity, utilization, and staffing data to support operational decision-making. •Demonstrated ability to analyze workload, capacity, and scheduling information and identify potential issues or conflicts. •Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and resource constraints. •Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel. •Strong written and verbal communication skills. •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with personnel at all levels of an organization, including partners and senior leadership. •Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive personnel and capacity information appropriately. •Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
