Hiring: Fire & EMS Consultant Company: Public Consulting Group Location: United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 11:01:09 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Medicaid, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Project Management About the job Required Skills: •Reviews and becomes a subject matter expert in EMS, fire services, Medicaid financing, reimbursement programs, and public-sector consulting operations. •Evaluates client programs and develops recommendations to improve operational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and program outcomes. •Analyzes and interprets federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and reimbursement methodologies. •Assesses industry best practices and provides technical assistance and strategic guidance to clients. •Manages projects, staff, and assigned tasks with limited supervision while meeting or exceeding performance expectations. •Facilitates client meetings, stakeholder discussions, workshops, and presentations. •Delegates tasks and responsibilities to project team members and provides oversight of assigned work products. •Manages day-to-day project activities, client communications, and deliverable development. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred. •Five (5) or more years of relevant professional experience. •May provide project oversight, coaching, and mentorship to junior staff as assigned. •Some travel required for client meetings, conferences, stakeholder engagement, and project activities.
