Hiring: Financial Management/Budget Analyst Journeyman Company: Galapagos Federal Systems Location: Colorado Springs, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-17 13:58:08 Target Skills & Keywords : Security Clearance About the job Experience: •The Financial Management Journeyman must have •5+ years of relevant DoD experience, including experience working in classified environments •Demonstrated experience in DoD financial management, budgeting, accounting, or resource management, preferably supporting the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force •Solid functional working knowledge of DoD and Department of the Air Force financial management processes, including budget formulation, budget execution, funds control, reconciliation, and financial reporting •Operational familiarity with U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force organizational structures, missions, and financial management processes Required Skills: •Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Journeyman-Level Financial Management/Budget Analyst to support the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) Delta 11 Financial Management Team. •The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in Department of Defense (DoD) financial management, budgeting, and accounting, preferably within the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force, along with experience supporting both classified and unclassified financial systems and processes. •The Financial Management Journeyman will •Actively facilitate and support Senior Financial Analyst and Delta 11 staff with day-to-day financial management activities, including budget tracking, execution monitoring, data entry, and financial reporting •Collect, organize, validate, and analyze budget execution data to support recurring financial reports, spend plans, execution reviews, and mid-year assessments •Assist with the preparation, routing, tracking, and reconciliation of funding documents, including AF Form 9s, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), purchase requests, and other financial documentation •Perform financial transactions and support reconciliation activities within the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) and other applicable Department of the Air Force financial systems •Maintain and update spend plans, financial requirements, funding status, and obligation forecasts within the Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CCaRS) Qualifications: •Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen.
