Hiring: Financial Analyst Company: Savannah River Nuclear Solutions Location: Aiken, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 10:22:54 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : C++, REST About the job Required Skills: •Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include •A Financial Analyst is responsible for independently evaluating payroll processes, records, controls, and reporting to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements. •Plan, scope, and conduct payroll compliance assessments. •Review payroll registers, timekeeping records, wage statements, tax filings, benefit deductions, labor distribution records, and supporting documentation. •Verify the accurate calculation and payment of regular wages, overtime, shift premiums, differentials, bonuses, commissions, leave pay, and other compensation. •Test compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws, including minimum wage, overtime, meal/rest break, pay frequency, wage statement, and final-pay requirements. •Assess compliance with prevailing wage, certified payroll, Davis-Bacon, Service Contract Act, or similar requirements when applicable. •Review employee classifications, including exempt/nonexempt status, employee versus independent contractor designations, job classifications, and pay-rate determinations. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field •Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered •Strong knowledge of payroll operations, wage-and-hour laws, payroll tax requirements, and internal-control principles •Recent experience performing or assessing payroll, timekeeping, labor distribution, or related financial and HR processes •Proficiency with payroll and timekeeping systems and Microsoft Office applications •Strong analytical, investigative, written communication, and presentation skills •Demonstrated capacity to handle confidential employee and compensation information with discretion •We'd Also Like to See •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred •Relevant credentials, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent certifications preferred Compensation: •$73,608 - $103,224 / year •Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
