Hiring: Finance Manager, US Therapeutics Company: AbbVie Location: North Chicago, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:05:32 Target Skills & Keywords : Financial Planning, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, R, SAP About the job Experience: •7+ years progressive accounting or finance experience Required Skills: •Lead global commercial financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring timely and accurate business inputs. •Consolidate planning materials and deliver executive-ready financial summaries for senior stakeholders. •Guide business units through planning cycles, including timelines, guidance, assumption validation, and result consolidation. •Partner cross-functionally with finance, corporate, legal, R&D, operations, and global teams to align planning efforts. •Perform financial system tie-outs to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across planning outputs. •Maintain and improve planning templates, schedules, mock books, and supporting financial documentation. •Analyze performance against plan, prior forecasts, prior year, and other benchmarks to identify trends and variances. •Highlight key risks, opportunities, and business drivers to support informed management decision-making. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, MBA or CPA preferred •In-depth knowledge of AbbVie financial planning processes •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Solid understanding of automated accounting systems such SAP and BPC. Skillful with Power BI or other data visualization tools. •Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint •Demonstrated capacity to solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data •Demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities •Demonstrated capacity to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders •We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees. •This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive programs.
