Hiring: Field Support Technician Company: Highland Electric Fleets Location: Detroit, MI Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:35:10 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AI, Project Management About the job Required Skills: •Represent the company at customer locations with the highest standards of professional conduct. •Actively facilitate and support go-live process for new EV charging sites, including coordinating on-site activities and flagging risks or delays to the Commissioning Engineer. •Conduct new vehicle inspections, verifying vehicle readiness and documenting findings prior to site activation. •Assist technicians in asset inspections, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing customer assets on-site as needed. •Follow established safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. •Maintain extremely thorough, accurate, and timely documentation for all commissioning activities, inspections, and work completed, using company asset management and project tracking platforms. •Support High Voltage (HV) charger operations, including conducting plug cycles and responding to service needs during commissioning. •Perform Low Voltage (LV) battery replacements and jump-starts as needed. Qualifications: •Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for accurate, organized documentation. •Demonstrated time-management skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to driving continuous process improvement. •Proficiency with computers and standard software (documentation tools, spreadsheets, asset/project management platforms) required. •Automotive Technology certification from an accredited school preferred (not required). •Willingness to develop project management and project coordination skills; prior experience a plus. •Basic electrical and AC skills. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. •Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. •Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions. •Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
