This role supports an industrial telematics and equipment-data program involving heavy construction and mining equipment. •The technician will travel to job sites, work around heavy machinery, and support the installation, verification, and troubleshooting of sensors, modems, data devices, and related hardware. The goal is to ensure equipment is properly connected and that machine data is successfully transmitted from the field to cloud systems. •This is a hands-on field role suited for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, following safety procedures, solving practical technical issues, and communicating clearly with customers, operators, and internal engineering teams. •Install sensors, modems, data collection devices, cables, brackets, and related hardware on heavy construction and mining equipment. •Mount and secure hardware in field environments while following installation instructions, safety requirements, and equipment-access guidelines. •Verify wiring, power, connectivity, device status, and basic signal/data transmission after installation. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent required. •Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy construction, mining, or industrial equipment. •Willingness to travel locally and within the state during the initial program phase. •Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customer teams and operators. •Demonstrated capacity to follow instructions carefully and document work clearly. •Basic comfort with tools, wiring, devices, hardware installation, or troubleshooting. •Demonstrated capacity to work safely and responsibly in industrial and field environments. •Vocational training, trade school, technical certification, or hands-on technical coursework is a plus. •Prior Caterpillar, heavy equipment, construction, mining, or industrial site experience is a plus. •You complete installations carefully, safely, and consistently.
