Proficiency with high voltage test equipment as well as knowledge of low and medium voltage test equipment. •5 years’ experience as a Switchgear/High Voltage Technician. Proficiency with high voltage test equipment as well as knowledge of low and medium voltage test equipment. Required Skills: •Provide technical capabilities for testing relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment, and related switchgear in the field. •Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacement. •Serve as a technical leader in testing/maintenance/repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and associated equipment •Provides proper preparation and documentation for site projects •Utilizing and accurately reading test equipment. •Reading schematics and wiring drawings. •Reading and plotting time-current curves. •Testing transformers, including Power Factor and TTR. Qualifications: •Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Switchgear/High Voltage Technician. Proficiency with high voltage test equipment as well as knowledge of low and medium voltage test equipment. •Demonstrated capacity to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables. •Demonstrated capacity to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions of practical situations. •Demonstrated capacity to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. •Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors •Valid Driver’s license and good driving record •Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing) due to the nature of safety-related materials, documentation, and interactions with clients. •Prefer an Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), or an Electrical Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited college, similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee) Compensation: •Competitive benefits and rewards package Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
