Required Skills: •Security 101 – Charleston is now recruiting for a Commercial Security Service Technician that has experience servicing and programming commercial electronic security devices primarily Video Systems, Access Control devices and software, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems and overall commercial security systems. •Servicing, troubleshooting, programming, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. System knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management, as related to card access technology. •Working knowledge that includes the ability to set up and perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on a LAN – familiar with tools like “WireShark” and other network scanning tools. Is a PLUS! •Familiarization and working knowledge of integrating systems using a manufacturer’s Software Development Kit (SDK) or API. Is a PLUS![RH1] •Troubleshooting and programming networked IP video systems. •Troubleshooting and programming networked access control devices. •Servicing commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT connected systems. Qualifications: •High School (or GED) minimum requirement •Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred) •Is a DFWP and EOE organization with a team-oriented work environment. Must have a clean driving record; pass a background investigation and a drug-test screening. Must also be able to work in both office and outside environments, climb a ladder, use a forklift, and carry boxes weighing 50lbs.
