Hiring: Facilities Manager Company: Skydio Location: Hayward, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 12:16:42 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : AI, Lean Manufacturing, Regulatory Compliance About the job Experience: •7+ years of facilities, plant engineering, construction, or building operations experience, preferably within aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. •3+ years of experience leading facility operations, projects, vendors, or technical teams. Required Skills: •Own day-to-day operation and maintenance of the manufacturing facility and associated infrastructure. •Maintain critical building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, plumbing, fire/life-safety systems, lighting, backup power, and other facility utilities. •Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve facility reliability and minimize production disruptions. •Respond to facility-related outages and emergencies, coordinate troubleshooting, and drive issues through permanent corrective action. •Establish facility KPIs for uptime, preventive maintenance completion, work-order response, utility consumption, and other key performance indicators. •Maintain accurate facility documentation, equipment records, maintenance histories, drawings, and operating procedures. •Manufacturing Support •Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to support production equipment installations, line expansions, process changes, and facility modifications. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. •Strong working knowledge of industrial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, compressed air, fire/life-safety, and building automation systems. •Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and execute facility construction and infrastructure projects. •Solid functional working knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable building, fire, electrical, mechanical, and environmental codes. •Strong troubleshooting, organizational, project-management, and communication skills. •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to urgent operational issues. •Operational familiarity with ESD-controlled areas, clean manufacturing environments, laboratories, machine shops, composite manufacturing, battery operations, or other specialized aerospace production environments.
