Required Skills: •To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting, installation and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance area/shift leader. •Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls, fire alarms, and clock systems. •Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and repairing ballast and light fixtures. •Make rough sketches; estimate cost, time, and materials of electrical work •Installs electrical services, troubleshoots, and repairs new equipment and systems. •Research, purchases and inventories equipment parts, chemicals, and supplies. •Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to National Electrical Code Requirements and reports back to supervisor. •Maintains appropriate service and repair records. Qualifications: •Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade. •Knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade. •Knowledge of all electrical distribution systems (24-12K volts); methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. •Demonstrated capacity to perform various computer functions including Microsoft Office. •Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair. •Knowledge of a variety of building procedures and techniques. •Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of public buildings. •Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
