Hiring: Experimental Test Pilot Company: Skyryse Location: Camarillo, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 10:29:29 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Accessibility About the job Experience: •5+ years of direct flight-test experience Required Skills: •Execute experimental flight tests in a rotorcraft helicopter that directly shape the future of aviation. •Partner with Flight Test Engineers to translate high-level requirements into executable test strategies, authoring test plans, cards, and procedures that move programs forward quickly and safely. •Develop and maintain flight manuals, operations, checklists and procedures. •Lead and/or participate in safety of flight and flight readiness review boards. •Operate with regulatory rigor and startup velocity, completing documentation that meets FAA standards while enabling rapid iteration. •Maintain elite proficiency across multiple aircraft platforms, ensuring readiness to support diverse test campaigns as programs evolve. Qualifications: •1,000+ hours of Pilot in Command flight time in Rotorcraft •Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or other engineering discipline •Team player with excellent communication skills •Graduate of Navy Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, or equivalent high-level formal course, or possess 5+ years of direct flight-test experience •Three years of test pilot experience on developmental flight test programs •The opportunity to change the world through improving aviation safety and accessibility •Heavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plans •Full-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually.  PTO and sick days must be used in accordance with Company policy. •A company with an ambitious vision, a dynamic work environment, and a team of smart, motivated, and fun to work-with colleagues! •The posted salary range reflects the potential base pay for this role, adjusted to account for varying geographic markets. Final compensation will be based on factors such as your location, job-related skills, experience, and internal alignment, including equity and benefits.
