Hiring: EV Technician Company: EVCS Location: Portland, OR Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:29:46 Employment Type: Contract / Remote About the job Experience: •2+ years of experience in electrical systems, field service, or EV charging infrastructure Required Skills: •Responsible for the commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and branding of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) across multiple West Coast locations. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction for EV charging infrastructure in the field. •Commission new EV charging stations, including installation validation, system configuration, and network connectivity setup •Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on EVCS hardware and software systems •Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure system uptime and performance •Install and maintain station branding elements, including signage, wraps, and decals •Respond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner •Document all service activities, maintenance logs, and repair actions accurately •Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve technical issues Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical, electronics, or related field preferred •In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, low/high voltage, and troubleshooting techniques •Operational familiarity with networking, software diagnostics, and IoT-connected devices is a plus •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams •Valid driver’s license and clean driving record •Strong problem-solving and analytical skills •Demonstrated capacity to work independently in a field-based role •Excellent communication and customer service skills •Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits •Comfortable using mobile tools, laptops, and diagnostic software Compensation: •$75,000 - $110,000 / year •Competitive benefits and rewards package •Eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
