Required Skills: •The Electric Vehicle Product Support position serves as an advanced technical field resource for ABC-supported battery electric vehicles (BEVs), providing diagnostics, field service, technical training, and product support to customers throughout North America. •This is a highly mobile, hands-on position requiring extensive travel throughout North America, with occasional international travel, to support vehicle uptime, battery performance, product reliability, and customer satisfaction. •Quickly diagnosing and resolving complex EV and high-voltage system concerns to maximize vehicle uptime and minimize repeat failures. •Using vehicle logs, CAN data, battery health information, fault histories, charging data, and telematics to move beyond symptoms and identify root causes. •Becoming a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams on battery systems, charging, high-voltage architecture, thermal management, and EV diagnostics. •Translating complex technical findings into clear recommendations and corrective actions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. •Delivering effective hands-on training that strengthens technician knowledge, high-voltage safety practices, and customer confidence with ABC-supported EV products. •Identifying recurring field trends and providing technical insight that contributes to improved vehicle reliability, battery performance, charging performance, and product development. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology, Automotive Technology, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. •Minimum of 5 years of experience within the transportation, commercial vehicle, electric vehicle, battery, or high-voltage automotive industry. •Hands-on battery electric vehicle diagnostic and repair experience strongly preferred. •Formal high-voltage safety training and experience working with high-voltage AC/DC systems required. •In-depth knowledge of EV architecture, including battery packs, BMS, contactors, isolation monitoring, DC-DC converters, inverters, traction motors, regenerative braking, and charging systems. •Solid functional working knowledge of lithium-ion battery operation, including SOC, SOH, cell balancing/equalization, thermal management, degradation factors, and safe battery handling practices. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, CAN architecture, battery data, service information, and technical documentation. •Demonstrated capacity to troubleshoot CAN/J1939 vehicle networks, multiplex systems, and EV control communications. •CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred. •Demonstrated capacity to independently manage multiple technical cases, field investigations, and competing priorities.
