Hiring: Estimator Company: CRH Location: Auburn, WA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 17:56:50 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Construction estimating, bidding, RFQ management, take-offs, engineering drawings, schematics interpretation, proposal development, value engineering, cost estimation, ERP, vendor coordination, market-based pricing Experience: - 3+ years of recent construction and/or bidding experience (a plus) - Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience Required Skills: - Complete take-offs and quotes for all RFQs brought in by the outside sales team - Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services - Manage bids that range in size and complexity simultaneously - Communicate directly with customers regarding quantity verification/confirmation and quote structure - Work with vendors to prepare bids and write proposals - Utilize market-based price lists provided by sales manager - Working knowledge of how to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings - Knowledge of software for proposal drawings - Assist in development of department improvement initiatives such as historical data, tool and template development, and closing out win/loss jobs in ERP Qualifications: - Organizational discipline and meticulous attention to detail while managing multiple RFQs - Ability to partner with cross-functional teams including sales, strategic account managers, production, engineering, and transportation - Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction and correspondence - Ability to work with outside sales on proposal strategy, basis-of-design changes, and value engineering options - "Own the Jobsite" mentality — ensuring all products are being considered Compensation: - Yearly target salary: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 - Eligible for a yearly bonus of 10% - Vacation hours: two weeks per year - Sick leave benefits up to 56 hours per annum - 401k plan - Short-Term and Long-Term Disability benefits - Eleven paid holidays per year - Annual Community Volunteer paid day - Comprehensive medical, dental, and disability benefits programs - Group retirement savings program - Health and wellness programs Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
