Hiring: Equipment Technician III Company: AbbVie Location: Waco, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 11:05:31 Target Skills & Keywords : Root Cause Analysis About the job Experience: •4+ years of experience in manufacturing facility maintenance, with experience in maintenance of chemical process equipment desirable. Required Skills: •MD Fill This is an A2 Shift, 6PM-6:30AM Sunday/Monday/Tuesday & every other Saturday (w/ 15% Diff) •Performs or arranges for preventive and demand maintenance on a wide variety of equipment, including structural, HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment. •Supports reliability-centered maintenance program(s) at the site by performing or coordinating completion of predictive maintenance activities such as equipment vibration analysis, oil/lubricant analysis, ultrasonic thickness or other non-destructive testing, infrared heat mapping, etc. •Conducts and documents activities in a manner that maintains facility compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), process safety management (PSM), and other applicable regulations. •Provides maintenance expertise in support of manufacturing investigations, failure and root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning and execution. •Provides maintenance expertise in support of plant engineering initiatives and project execution. •Strictly follows all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures and supports efforts to improve facility EHS performance. •Attends all required training and complies with the responsibilities associated with the maintenance technician position as detailed in the applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications: •Associates degree in skilled trades curriculum desirable. •Combination of education and experience. •Problem solving, troubleshooting, and repair skills for a wide variety of systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, reactors, control valves, pumps, etc. •Welding, pipefitting, construction, basic electrical knowledge, and machining skills. •Demonstrated capacity to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with Maintenance Department objectives with minimal supervision. •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with operators, engineers, contractors, and vendor representatives. •Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance requests on off-shifts •We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees. •This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
