Hiring: Equal Employment Specialist Company: DLA Careers Location: Greater Richmond Region Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:32:39 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Serves as a Senior Staff Equal Employment Specialist in the DLA Equal Employment Opportunity Office, administering the enterprise Disability and Reasonable Accommodation Programs. •Interprets and applies governing disability-employment and reasonable-accommodation laws, regulations, policies, and guidance and recommends compliant policies, procedures, and operating standards. •Provides authoritative technical advice to managers, deciding officials, Disability Program Coordinators, EEO staff, employees, and applicants throughout the interactive process. •Advises on essential functions, limitations, effective accommodations, implementation, timeliness, and elevated matters and coordinates medical, legal, human-resources, and workplace-safety consultation as appropriate. •Oversees program execution and quality across reasonable-accommodation cases, including complex or elevated matters, senior-level review packages, implementation, periodic review, reconsideration, and corrective action. •Ensures case records and medical information are handled, maintained, disclosed, and disposed of consistent with privacy, confidentiality, and records-management requirements. •Develops policy, guidance, tools, and training for Disability Program Coordinators, supervisors, managers, EEO personnel, and other stakeholders. •Leads working groups and coordinates with Human Resources, General Counsel, Safety and Occupational Health, Information Operations, Installation Management, resource-management offices, and other partners to improve service delivery and systems. Gathering and evaluating information, coordinating stakeholders, protecting confidential or medical information, monitoring timeliness, and supporting case resolution •Evaluating program operations through case information, workload or timeliness measures, quality reviews, dashboards, trend analysis, or internal controls.
