Reasonable accommodation may be available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. •Conducts safety meetings for all NOVEC employees, including planning, developing, implementing, and administering accident prevention and job training. Conducts the following training courses: first aid, defensive driving, CPR, new employee orientation, accident investigation, electric hazard, eye safety, and fire prevention. •Handles and maintains integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive human resource and management information records. •Monitors and coordinates the motor carrier regulations for the cooperative. •Administers NOVEC's random drug and alcohol testing. •Accurately records and files all applicable illnesses and injuries to OSHA. •Coordinate with the Security Specialist to conduct new employee orientation. •Coordinates the work activities of NOVEC environmental consultants. Qualifications: •Demonstrated ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. •Demonstrated knowledge of all company policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws. •Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and mathematical skills. •Demonstrated proficiency with general computer operation and Microsoft Office applications. •Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels within the organization. •Demonstrated ability to anticipate and meet rapidly changing customer and business needs by quickly refocusing and realigning strategic and operational direction. •Demonstrated ability to think ahead and plan over a short and long-term focus. •Demonstrated ability to apply accident investigation techniques. •Demonstrated ability to use available resources to deliver training to members of the organization. •A Bachelor’s degree in a related occupational safety and health, business, or engineering discipline from an accredited institution is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five to seven years of related experience and/or training is required. Experience in the utility sector is preferred.
