Work may include high heat near equipment and varying outdoor weather conditions. •All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening. •The EH&S Manager works a standard Monday to Friday day shift schedule. This position will require extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support plant operations and business needs and may also require callout availability. Depending on the position, on-call status may or may not apply. •Occasional travel (approximately once a quarter) to the Castleton Energy Center, including occasional overnight travel, is required to provide EH&S support to both locations. Additional travel may be required for management, Owner, User Group, training, or other offsite meetings. •Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental compliance, engineering, occupational safety, or a related field preferred. Relevant technical training and industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. •Significant experience managing environmental compliance and EH&S programs within power generation or a similar industrial environment, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate environmental and workplace safety risks. •Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements applicable to power generation, including air emissions, water, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials, and waste management. •Solid functional working knowledge of power plant operations and the environmental, health, and safety considerations associated with combined-cycle and cogeneration facilities. •Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and programs, including OSHA requirements, hazard recognition, incident investigation, corrective action, and safe work practices.
