Hiring: Engineer - Quality and Continuous Improvement III (Internal Auditor) Company: Blue Origin Location: Huntsville, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 13:36:30 Target Skills & Keywords : Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma About the job Experience: •6+ years shown experience in QMS / Internal Auditing •6+ years of AS9100 or ISO9001 auditing experience within a manufacturing environment Required Skills: •Perform internal audits to assess compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100 and internal command media •Perform special process audits as required •Recommends and coordinates appropriate corrective action to quality deficiencies within Blue Origin or externally •Support maturation of an 00environment and culture around QMS, including awareness, continuous improvement, and procedure compliance •Communicate expertly and optimally with all levels of management, peers and key stakeholders, including timely customer concern of quality issues. •Support as a focal external 3rd Party Audits •Mentor Blue Origin employees on the QMS •Assure Blue Origin documentation system and the QMS are aligned Qualifications: •Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years shown experience in QMS / Internal Auditing •Able to identify problems, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions •Outstanding listening, communication, and presentation skills •Certified as AS9100D / ISO9001 / APQP Lead Auditor •Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred •American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification •Quality experience in either development or production environment •Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification •Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
