Required Skills: •We are seeking an experienced •Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Test Engineer to test, evaluate and analyze the photonic devices for market and internal quantum applications. •This role will collaborate closely with the PIC design and fabrication team to iterate and optimize out internal PDK, customized devices. The test work should be summarized to debug with design team and fabrication team. •Oversee optical and electrical characterization of fabricated PICs, analyzing performance against design targets. •Identify and implement design or process improvements based on test data. •Develop automated test procedures where applicable. •Skill in optical and electrical characterization techniques •Partner cross-functionally with the fabrication team to estimate the fabrication robustness of the PDK and customized design. Qualifications: •Ph.D. or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Applied Physics, Photonics, or related field. •Programming skills for data analysis and automation (Python, MATLAB). •Strong knowledge of waveguide theory, coupling mechanisms, electrical and photonic device physics. •Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across teams. •Passion for innovation and pushing the limits of photonic technology. •Incumbent(s) in this position may be required to perform other duties and special assignments not specifically stated above.
