Hiring: Engineer, Fire Protection/Programs Company: Constellation Location: Braceville, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 16:15:32 About the job Experience: •2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience •5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience Required Skills: •Prepare regular Program Health Reports/KPIs for Fire Protection and FLEX. •Maintain and update program documentation, including FPR, Safe Shutdown Analysis, and procedures. Ensuring compliance with regulations and commitments. •Perform engineering evaluations, calculations, and reviews on fire barriers, detection, suppression, and safe-shutdown features. •Review and approve design changes affecting fire protection systems or licensing basis. •Lead or support Fire Protection Inspections (NRC, NEIL, NOS), self-assessments, OPEX/IR reviews, and audits. •Support fire protection issue evaluation and CAP investigations. •Participate in peer calls, and industry committees (INPO, NEI, NFPA) Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) •Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants" •Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience •Demonstrated experience in engineering programs, system ownership, or fire protection related functions. •Knowledge of NFPA codes, NRC regulatory requirements, and nuclear safety processes.
