Qualifications: •Two years of managerial experience managing an organized effort to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, or recover from emergencies, disasters or terrorist events. This experience is met by service as an Emergency Program Manager 1 with the State of Alaska, or the equivalent elsewhere. •OR Three years of managerial experience managing a program which included creating contingency plans, conducting exercises to evaluate plans and training, responding to events creating civil disruption or environmental disturbance, or directing the recovery from such events. •A bachelor's degree, in any field, from an accredited college •AND Two years of experience managing a program which included creating contingency plans, conducting exercises to evaluate plans and training, responding to events creating civil disruption or environmental disturbance, or directing the recovery from such events. •A valid Alaska driver's license is required. •Some positions require the incumbent to obtain a federal security clearance. •Work may require periodic, 24-hour on-call duty and travel to remote locations in small aircraft and boats, and may involve exposure to inherently hazardous or potentially dangerous environmental conditions. •NOTE: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY** •A cover letter is required as part of your application.
