Required Skills: •The Network Systems Project Engineer serves as a core member of the Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) group. •Project engineers are expected to learn OTECH processes and best engineering practices; and apply the knowledge towards expanding their engineering skill set. •This role will be the Subject Matter Expert to architect and manage networking solutions on standalone air gapped robotic systems consisting of COTS sensors and boards. •OTECH produces and maintains unique underwater systems – typically for US Navy and other US Government Department of Defense customers. •Our projects are all one-of-a-kind. Projects range from quick burn to lifecycle management of fielded systems. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter who is an effective communicator. •Produce network architecture solutions to meet or exceed system requirements such as latency and redundancy. •Lead and oversee test efforts to validate and verify network requirements. •Perform trade studies and down selects for networking equipment from a SWaP-C perspective. Qualifications: •BS Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline. Commensurate experience will be considered. •Understanding of network device configurations and troubleshooting. •Understanding of features such as IPSEC, Quality of Services, VLANs and multicast. •Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 environment. •Demonstrated capacity to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance. •Must be a US citizen. •Familiar with network architectures used in high reliability or fault tolerant networks.
