Based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, you will help advance the industry-leading Rosemount® brand—trusted worldwide for innovation, accuracy, and reliability. •As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead the software strategy and development for the next generation of Rosemount Magnetic and Vortex Flowmeters. •Direct major software development initiatives through global engineering teams driving innovation, technical excellence, and secure-by-design practices to deliver industry-leading measurement solutions advancing performance, connectivity, cybersecurity, and reliability. •Provide technical and organizational leadership to develop complex embedded software products and systems, invent new techniques and advance the state of the art in areas with substantial technical risk •Direct domestic and global teams to define software architecture and coding techniques for next-generation Rosemount magnetic flowmeter and vortex meter platforms, including sensor processing, communications, diagnostics, functional safety (IEC 61508 / SIL), and security (IEC 62443) considerations •Prepare detailed multi-year plans for complex programs, establish technical program goals, define cost/schedule requirements, and recommend and initiate innovative projects supporting the product-line strategy •Interact frequently with customers, vendors, and supporting cross-functional groups to coordinate technical and administrative matters •Prepare technical proposals and represent Emerson to standards bodies Qualifications: •You create and implement plans to efficiently allocate resources. You adapt quickly to changing conditions. You apply knowledge of internal structures, processes, and culture to resourcing efforts. You communicate the vision with a sense of purpose about the future. •Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school; ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred •Ten (10) years of related software engineering experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex product developments from concept through release •Two (2) years of leadership experience in an industrial or technology organization •Operational familiarity with coding standards (MISRA), version control, defect tracking, and modern requirements management tooling (Jama, DOORS, Azure DevOps) •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Up to 10% travel required (domestic and international) •Legal authorization to work in the United States •Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science •SAFe SPC or RTE certification or rollout experience Compensation: •$160,000 - $180,000 / year •Competitive benefits and rewards package Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
