Hiring: Electronics Technician Company: Knott's Berry Farm Location: Buena Park, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-13 13:08:34 About the job Experience: •18 years of age. •18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. •At least 18 years of age. Required Skills: •Repair, program, and maintain 2-way radio equipment. Repair and maintain closed circuit cameras, supporting monitors and recording equipment. •Repair and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), specifically Allen-Bradley PLCs. •Support Ride Maintenance Technicians on repairs to rides, vehicles and/or show equipment. •Repair and maintain a wide variety of electronic field devices such as photo-eyes, proximity sensors, limit switches, micro-switches, amplifiers, etc. as required. •Provide system training and documentation. •Generate and update additional lighting paperwork such as Instrument Schedule, Circuiting, and Patching for the light plot. •Review and communicate clear goals of lighting design projects with management. Schedule adequate time with the Director for design execution. •Recommend equipment and vendors to keep up with industry trends and show requirements. Qualifications: •High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. •Must be at least 18 years of age. •Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school is preferred, but not required. •Solid functional working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment. •Demonstrated capacity to work cooperatively with others in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. •Demonstrated capacity to read/write, comprehend instructions and communicate in English. •Demonstrated capacity to work safely and effectively while elevated on ladders, platforms, or other structures at heights up to 320 feet above ground. •Demonstrated capacity to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. •Demonstrated capacity to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. •Valid State Driver’s License required.
