Hiring: Electronic Technician, Maintenance I Company: Amentum Location: Fairbanks, AK Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:24:50 Employment Type: Contract / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : SCA, Secret Clearance, Security Clearance About the job Experience: •1-2 years of experience in electronics maintenance or repair. •2 years of experience in electronics maintenance or repair. •1 year of service Required Skills: •Perform work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testing •Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems •Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition •Manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays •Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs •Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data •Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies •Identify and report supply discrepancies Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent •Basic knowledge of DC and AC electronics, digital logic, solid-state devices and circuits •Proficiency in using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes. •Must possess a valid driver’s license and must meet all requirements for assigned vehicles •Demonstrated capacity to speak, read, and write English. Basic troubleshooting skills •Demonstrated capacity to work indoors, outdoors and travel to remote locations •Reside near or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Fairbanks/Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance •Operational familiarity with Radar and High-Power transmitters or similar systems preferred. •Operational familiarity with electronic, electromechanical and computer systems preferred.
