Hiring: Electrician Company: MetroPower Location: Athens, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 13:31:57 Target Skills & Keywords : Transformers About the job Required Skills: •Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems in construction applications and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment •Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lighting systems, circuits, and other electrical components •Utilize hand and power tools along with electronic testing equipment •Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements and the sequence of work •Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code and company safety and quality standards •Use and maintain electrical and electronic test equipment properly and safely •Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks •Utilize electronic systems to submit time records, complete safety reports, and document work progress Qualifications: •High School Diploma (or equivalent) required •Completion of electrical apprenticeship program preferred •Positive safety attitude and personal integrity -- both are non-negotiable •Demonstrated capacity to self-start, display solid work ethic, and respect others •Travel to various construction sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise, and the need to stand and walk. Other requirements may include the ability to kneel, crawl, bend, climb ladders, reach and handle with fingers, and differentiate colors. •Demonstrated capacity to maintain a consistent workload that may involve significant physical manual labor.
