Ensures that the Plant Policies, Procedures and Union contracts are administered and followed in a fair and consistent manner. •Is responsible to attend and participate in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge. •Is responsible for identifying the training needs of subordinates, ensuring their participation in appropriate training activities, and reinforcing subordinate’s skill development with coaching, feedback and recognition. •Is accountable for identifying potential capital projects and repair jobs, and new projects in their area. •Ensures the parts inventory for electrical, instrumentation, computer equipment is adequate to meet maintenance needs. •Directs the electronic, electrical and PLC/HMI function to assure the maximum operating efficiencies are maintained to meet minimal downtime, quality, volume, grade, yield, safety performance and cost control. •Provide technical support to ensure the Floor level controls, SCADA and other information systems provide the necessary information to operate efficiently. •Interface directly with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure that all plant systems are operating efficiently within their limits. Is accountable for the electrical, instrumentation, computer portion of the maintenance budget.
