Required Skills: •Design and develop wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical architectures for complex robotic and electromechanical platforms. •Integrate electrical subsystems including sensors, actuators, embedded computers, power electronics, and communication interfaces to ensure reliable system performance. •Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, pin assignments, and manufacturing documentation. •Select appropriate connectors, cables, shielding techniques, grounding methods, and routing strategies based on electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements. •Partner cross-functionally with mechanical engineering teams to optimize harness packaging, routing, strain relief, and protection within space-constrained designs. •Support prototype assembly, system bring-up, and hardware integration by identifying and resolving electrical and wiring-related issues. •Partner with manufacturing and production teams to facilitate harness fabrication, quality inspections, and process improvements. •Plan and execute electrical testing and validation to verify reliability, functionality, and compliance in both laboratory and field environments. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. •2–5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on wire harnesses, cable assemblies, or electrical interconnect systems. •Proven expertise in designing wiring harnesses for robotic, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or other complex electromechanical systems. •In-depth knowledge of connectors, cable management, grounding, shielding, and electrical installation best practices. •Hands-on troubleshooting experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers. •Operational familiarity with high-reliability design and manufacturing standards, including MIL-STD or equivalent industry practices. •Knowledge of ruggedized electrical system design for demanding environmental conditions. •Understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, power distribution, grounding, and shielding techniques.
