Hiring: Electrical Engineer Company: Ohmite Manufacturing Location: Warrenville, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 10:34:05 Target Skills & Keywords : CAD About the job Experience: •Minimum of five focused years in the field of Electronic Components, personal or professional •Fundamental understanding of ohms law, power dissipation, and physics Required Skills: •Participate in the selection, and development of High-Power Resistor assemblies related to customer requests with varying levels of controls/switching/metering/protection, working closely with senior engineers as needed for guidance. •Participate in the hardware definition, selection, and development of High-Power Resistors with varying levels of controls/switching/metering/protection, working closely with senior engineers as needed for guidance. •Improve processes to meet the demands of our customers. •Develop designs that improve performance of currently produced products. •Interface with all levels within the organization (Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Production, Testing) to understand application requirements and develop best-in-class products. •Ensure that high standards of reliability, quality, usability, and measurement are adhered to throughout each phase of product development. •Actively facilitate and support various stages of product development to ensure projects are completed on time. Qualifications: •Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools. •Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and production. •Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, and engineering documentation. •Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. •Demonstrated capacity to travel occasionally to customer sites, vendors, or company facilities, as required. •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field. •Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, controls, and automation systems.
