Hiring: Electrical Engineer Company: Actalent Location: Omaha, NE Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 12:03:03 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, Systems Design About the job Experience: •5+ years of electrical engineering experience Required Skills: •Perform or be familiar with cable ampacity and trench design using software packages like CYMCAP, ETAP, or AmpCalc. •Model or be familiar with grounding system design using software package WinIGS. •Conduct field surveys and study diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems. •Confer with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction projects. •Provide guidance to ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. •Inspect completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications. •Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects. •Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Qualifications: •Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or related field •This role is primarily remote, with working hours from Monday to Friday. There is a requirement for quarterly travel, ranging from 5-15% of the time. •This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE.
