Hiring: EHS Supervisor Company: Eaton Location: Davenport, IA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:01:15 Target Skills & Keywords : CPT, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint About the job Experience: •6 years experience working in EHS or related discipline within a manufacturing environment •2 years experience leading or managing people (direct or indirect) •Minimum 2 years experience leading or managing people (direct or indirect) Required Skills: •Actively facilitate and support creation of site targets and objectives in support of corporate, regional and business group EHS strategic initiatives designed to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. •Drives preventative and proactive action projects to mitigate and eliminate risks through root cause identification and corrective actions for EHS activities. •Ensures that federal, state, and local EHS regulations are met including air, land, and water to provide a safe working environment for employees and a clean and healthful environment for the community. •Strategically drive assignment of MESH cross-functional element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of respective MESH elements. •Use established EHS data processes to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information. •Interface directly with site leadership team and facilities to ensure key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis. •Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations including: RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC, CWA, etc. •Ensure environmental data is collected and submitted on time Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineer, Chemical Engineering or other EHS related field •Minimum of 6 years experience working in EHS or related discipline within a manufacturing environment •Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. •Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other EHS related field •Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification. •Comprehension of industry, state, and country EHS requirements •Operational familiarity with ISO 14001 and other Occupational Health and Safety management system standards. Experience creating and/or updating environmental plans, permits and standard operating procedures.
