Required Skills: •Lead by example to foster an approachable, professional, and team-based safety mindset at all FMA locations. •Conduct, facilitate, and document safety-related training for new hires and current technicians to ensure a safe and fully trained workforce. •Manage the FMA Safety Training program to ensure employees are current on all annual compliance training. •Assist the EHS Manager in organizing and rolling out yearly safety stand-downs at all FMA locations. •Verify that technicians have completed the appropriate qualifications for their assigned positions. •Maintain all FMA training records accurately and in a timely manner. •Actively facilitate and support Safety Champion program by conducting bi-weekly meetings and check-ins. •Perform site visits and safety audits at FMA facilities and local shipyards where technicians are stationed. Qualifications: •High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) credential required. •Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or an equivalent field preferred. •Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional equipment as required. •Comfortable working around moving equipment and machinery. •Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. •Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, forward reaching, and twisting. •Occasional squatting, crouching, and above-shoulder reaching. •Demonstrated capacity to stand for extended periods. •Fairbanks Morse Defense offers a competitive benefits package including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, and 401k retirement plan with employer match.
