Maintains training certification, recertification and daily inspection records . •Ensures proper training of employees on safety and health requirements and policies to ensure compliance. •Chairs the Safety Committee and conducts monthly meetings. •Observes plant activities and conditions. Regularly monitors for health and safety policy violations. Enforces prescribed use of safety equipment (such as PPE) and the proper application of required safety procedures. •Ensures regulatory safety compliance & implements required improvements; recommends changes to current safety policies and procedures. •Administers New Hire Safety Orientation to new associates. •Maintain OSHA logs & reporting Qualifications: •As the qualified & selected EHS professional, you will have •Bachelor degree in in the area of safety and/or environmental management, manufacturing, engineering or similar preferred. •3 plus years’ experience in workplace EHS management. •Knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines for the workplace. •Knowledge of CAA, CWA, RCRA, and SPCC regulations. •Familiar with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. •Able to read and interpret OSHA documents and internal policies. •Clear and effective oral and written communication. •Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality. •Organized with attention to detail.
