Required Skills: •The Comptroller of Maryland is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven EEO Specialist to join the Office of Equity & Transformation's EEO and Fair Practices team. This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping a fair, respectful, and legally compliant workplace for the agency's statewide workforce. •Occasional evening or weekend work is required to support investigative interviews, agency-wide training delivery, and off-site EEO engagements at agency locations statewide. •This position requires travel throughout the State and will be required as needed for investigations, mediations, and training delivery. Telework and flexible schedules are available consistent with agency policy. Qualifications: •Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience. •Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience. •Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience. •Advanced degree from an accredited college or university. •Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills to communicate effectively with all levels of internal employees, the public, and government elected officials. •Solid functional working knowledge of Title VII, the ADA, and Maryland State civil rights and fair employment authorities. •Operational familiarity with reviewing recruitment and hiring documentation for EEO compliance. •Strong written communication skills, particularly for formal investigative reports and legal correspondence.
