Hiring: ED, US HP Therapeutic Area Communication Company: Boehringer Ingelheim Location: Ridgefield, CT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 19:03:53 Target Skills & Keywords : Accessibility About the job Experience: •18 years of age or older Required Skills: •The ED, US HP Therapeutic Area Communications will represent US Corporate Affairs perspective on the Human Pharma Leadership Team (HPLT) and sits on the US Corporate Affairs Leadership Team. •Sets the overall vision, strategy and direct implementation of all aspects of Boehringer’s Product Communications platform for Human Pharma (HP) and is responsible for ensuring such vision, strategy and implementation is aligned to HP business priorities •Leads all brand and therapeutic area communications for HP and is responsible/accountable for the development of team aligned to HP therapeutic areas •Brings a holistic Corporate Affairs perspective, integrating communications with policy, government affairs and external engagement strategies •Works seamlessly with HP marketing teams to oversee brand-specific communication strategies and plans to raise awareness of Boehringer products, as well as drive engagement and conversion •Builds and leverages relationships with key external influencers to positively position Boehringer including media, community leaders, influencers, trade associations, patients, potential employees, among others. •Ensures alignment and strong collaboration with the global communications team. •Establishes the vision and develop the public relations strategy for all US HP-branded products, including pipeline products and clinical trials Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred •Fifteen (15) years’ experience in healthcare public relations and/or corporate communications •Ten-plus (10+) years management experience with track record of growing and developing teams of at least seven to ten (7-10) employees •Two-plus (2+) years working in a corporate environment •Possesses in-depth knowledge of corporate affairs, including corporate internal and external communications, media relations, CSR, and government affairs, in addition to pharmaceutical marketing and the ability to link that knowledge to impacting business objectives •Firm grasp on external environment and customer expectations, how this impacts on the business and approach to understanding how to deliver innovative solutions and strategies for the business •Proven track record as Communications or Marketing Strategist consulting senior executives and CEOs •Proven ability to build relationships and influence key internal stakeholders •Demonstrated capacity to strategically manage internal and external resources holistically for effective and efficient delivery of functional work and across categories within span of control •Strong analytical abilities; crisis/issue management leadership; ability to always maintain composure and establish trust as the “voice of reason” for the organization Compensation: •$223,000 - $334,600 / year •The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
