Hiring: Driver Company: Johnstone Supply Location: Fayetteville, NC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:37:16 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Workday About the job Experience: •Required : High School Diploma/GED; 1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger) or 1 year operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles under supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills: •Maintains positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service that includes accurate and timely delivery of products. •Serves as a key field contact for gathering accurate customer service and delivery expectations. •Safely operates company vehicles and equipment consistent with DOT, state, federal, and company standards. •Maintains cleanliness of inside of truck, cab, box, and all assigned work areas. •Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned vehicle(s)/equipment; refers defects, issues, or needs for repairs to supervisor promptly. •Loads and unloads trucks. Checks and verifies deliveries against sales and transfer orders . •Prepares routes and f ollows schedules and deadlines for delivery, shipping, receiving, and other related tasks. •Drives straight body vehicles including box truck to deliver supplies and equipment to customer’s place of business, job site, or other Johnstone store locations. Qualifications: •To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •6+ months of experience in a warehouse and/or distribution facility, preferably in HVAC/R or related field. •Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices. •Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures. •Demonstrated capacity to utilize necessary technology to complete tasks, GPS, mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices, RF equipment, and ERP software. Must be able to read a map and mapping applications accurately. •Demonstrated capacity to read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. •Demonstrated capacity to work safely in all job tasks. •Skill in operation of delivery vehicles and power equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker; ability to operate a lift gate safely and effectively. •Must be able to lift, push, pull, and maneuver large/heavy products or pieces of equipment while working within established safety guidelines.
