Hiring: DOT Compliance Coordinator Company: Dakota Matting and Environmental Solutions Location: Florida, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 12:26:37 Employment Type: Remote About the job Experience: •1 year of DOT compliance experience in a similar role •At least 1 year of DOT compliance experience in a similar role Required Skills: •Onboard new CDL and non-CDL commercial drivers and continuously maintain their Driver Qualification (DQ) files through Foley •Monitor and act on all compliance alerts, ensuring documents such as CDLs and medical cards are updated before they expire •Interface directly with Foley to run FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse queries — full pre-employment queries for new CDL drivers and annual limited queries for existing CDL drivers •Process annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviews as part of ongoing DQ file maintenance •Notify drivers selected for random testing by phone — 50% of the fleet annually for drug tests and 10% for alcohol tests, consistent with FMCSA minimum testing rates •Coordinate with collection sites to ensure every test is completed on time •Coordinate post-accident and reasonable-suspicion testing when the need arises, ensuring drivers are tested within FMCSA-required time frames and all documentation is completed •Respond to all Samsara Hours-of-Service (HOS) preventative alerts by calling the driver before the violation is triggered and confirming they have stopped driving Qualifications: •Comfortable with extensive inbound and outbound phone work — much of this job happens on the phone •Confident being direct and assertive in difficult conversations; you will enforce federal, state, and local regulations and company policies, which sometimes means delivering messages drivers don't want to hear •Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple software systems and cross-referencing data and information between them •Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and consistency, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures precisely •A quiet, professional home workspace with reliable high-speed internet — this role requires clear, uninterrupted phone conversations throughout the day •Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience •Demonstrated working knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations, with the ability to perform effectively with minimal subject-matter training •THE GREAT BENEFITS OF WORKING HERE •Your health and well-being matter to us.
